In 2019, citizen science.org celebrates and explores the deep roots and broad branches that form the strong core of this field and invites you to be part of their growing Family Tree by bringing your ideas and questions to CitSci2019.
Join citizen science.org on March 13-17th in Raleigh, NC – the City of Oaks – to connect with other leaders and learners from many backgrounds.

According to the conference’s schedule, there will be three special tracks:
Problem-driven Citizen Science – confronting challenges to collecting the data, and building the trust, needed to address specific management questions.
Environmental Justice – data collection to improve human and environmental health, discussed by community-based organizations and engaged partners.
Education – planned for educators, by educators, exploring citizen science both in classrooms and out-of-school.
The Preliminary Program is now available here.
If you find it interesting and you would like to contribute in CitSci2019 Conference, the following opportunities are still open to share your work:
Call for Posters: Rolling submissions
Poster proposal submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis through early 2019. For more details view the call for poster abstracts.
Call for Citizen Science Festival exhibitors: open until filled.
If North Carolina residents can participate in your project, you can reach 10,000 of them during this full-day, high-profile family event at the NC Museum of Natural Sciences. Free for conference registrants, but must commit to staffing the booth all day on Saturday. Details here.
No abstracts are required to host an exhibit booth during the main conference. Hosting a booth is a great low-cost and low-stakes way to share your materials and host targeted conversations during all of the down-time of the event. Booths are prominently located in the promenade between presentation rooms, and give you great visibility and a home-base for your project to make connections throughout the event. Details here.
